29.1169 Scrap (S Group).

§ 29.1169 Scrap (S Group).

A byproduct of stemmed and unstemmed tobacco. Scrap accumulates from handling tobacco in farm buildings, warehouses, packing and conditioning plants, and stemmeries.

Grade, Grade Name and Specifications

S - Scrap. Loose, whole, or broken unstemmed leaves; or the web portion of tobacco leaves reduced to scrap by any process. [42 FR 21092, Apr. 25, 1977, as amended at 49 FR 16756, Apr. 20, 1984]
